In January 1992, Pedro Isztin left Canada with an Ontario Arts Council grant and a strong desire to meet and photograph rural and indigenous people living in South America. The result of that journey was "Los Vibrantes," which means "The Vibrant Ones" in Spanish. It concentrates not on the material status of his subjects in Ecuador, Peru and Colombia, but rather on their spiritual well-being and the vitality they exude. | |||
